Blind Size & Cloth Size
The fabric (CLOTH) width will always be shorter than the overall blind size ordered; this is to allow for the brackets, pin and the fabric to operate effectiveley.
• 3.4cm to 3.9cm shorter for blinds specified with chain control
• 3.4cm to 4.4cm shorter for blinds specified with spring tension control.
Allowances
When 'Recess' measurement specified we will make a deduction of;-
• 0.5cm off the width for sidewinder chain control
• 1.0cm off the width for spring tension control
• We work to an operating tolerance of +/- 5mm) on all made to measure blinds..

Shapes
Reminiscent roller blinds are manufactured to a very high spec with a profiled PVC bottom bar. The roller blind fabric is moulded in to the bar and held in by locking tape for a quality finish.

Braids
• Personalise your blind with a decorative braid trim manufactured horizontally just above the bottom bar as standard.. Choose from a selction of braid trimss. The braid trims can also be manufactured onto the bottom bar upon request.

• Sidewinder mechanisms over 2.5m wide – Metal brackets 96mm x 50mm height
• Spring mechanisms up to 2m wide - Plastic brackets 60mm x 50mm height
Important Notes:
Spring Roller Blinds have been pre-tensioned. The safety pin needs to be dis-engaged to allow for operation.
Please note that due the thickness of some fabrics, roller blinds over 2m will be manufactured on a bigger barrel with brackets 96mm x 50mm.

Child Safety - 'make it safe'
The BBSA and its members are fully committed to help eliminate the risk associated with harzardous looped operating cords, chains and tapes used on window blinds.
Window blind cords and chains must be kept out of reach of babies and small children and there are many solutions for new and existing blinds. Here is what you should do now if you have babies or young children living in your house or if babies or young children may visit:
Examine every blind in your home. If they have a looped control chain or cord and do not have a safety device fitted then you can easily install one of the many devices available (see make it safe brochure below for device types). Alternitivley, ask a BBSA member or ‘make it safe’ dealer who will be happy to assist you.
• Ensure that all operating blind cords and chains cannot be reached by children.
• When buying a new blind always look for one that does not contain cords, has concealed cords or has an in-built safety device or where a safety devices are offered.
• Move cots, beds and any furniture away from windows and blinds – remember children love to climb.
