Splendor blackout blinds
The Splendor blackout collection is our signature line and offers custom made blackout roller blinds at very low UK prices! The collection comprises a selection of popular selling blackout fabrics offered with a range of properties including wipe clean and flame retardant. All fabrics in the collection are finsished with a white blackout backing.
Recess or Exact measurement
• For 'Recess' specified measurements we deduct 0.5cm off the width.
• For 'Exact' specified sizes we will make no deduction.
Important note:
All blind sizes ordered are the 'BRACKET to BRACKET' measurement 'NOT THE CLOTH WIDTH'.
There will always be a gap down the sides of the blind, you are advised to read our 'How to measure Blackout Blinds' and see our table for fabric width guide and allowances before ordering.

Bottom bar
Blackout fabrics in the B4UK Splendor collection are manufactured with a bottom pocket and white plastic square insert bar. Please note our flame retardant fabrics (displayed below) can only be manufactured with a white circular bottom bar.

Control options
Splendor roller blinds are offered with a choice of either sidewinder chain control or spring tension control. (spring tension only available on blinds up to 200cm wide)
Sidewinder mechanism (standard specification)
The sidewinder unit operates using a white plastic beaded control chain fitted around the cog. You can choose to have the mechanism on either the left or right side of the blind.
Note; The sidewinder mechanism is compulsory for all roller blinds over 200cm.
Spring tension control (up to 200cm width)
Spring tension roller blinds operate via a removable tension spring inserted into the barrel. The blind is controlled by pulling down on a decorative centre pull (toggle) positioned at the bottom centre of the blind and will stop at any point by virtue of a ratchet mechanism. To raise the blind you simply tug down the decorative pull and allow the fabric to ascend to the desired position.

Standard or Reverse Roll?

Standard roll option
The standard manufactured option for roller blinds where the fabric rolls away from the room and falls closest to the window. The fabric is closer to the glass but the reverse side of the fabric can be seen around the roll.
Note: We recommend standard roll for blinds being fitted outside of the recess as they hang closer to the the wall
Reverse roll option
The reverse roll option unfurls the fabric towards the room and prevents the backside of the fabric from being seen. This method of manufacture provides extra fabric clearance and is ideal for overcoming protruding handles which may cause an obstruction to the blinds operation. If there are other roller blinds in the same room, this instruction may need to be applied to those to.
Note: The reverse roll method will not allow the fabric to roll as closely to the window as the standard roll method and therefore more light may filter into the room.
